TUNGNATH-HIGHEST SHIVA TEMPLE IN WORLD

Image
Tungnath is one of the highest Shiv Temple in the world,And this temple is highest of panch kedar temples located in rudraprayag district.this is located at the height of 3,470 m and below the peak of chandrashilla. Generally, the climate of Tungnath in the summer is very pleasant and the best time to visit is around April to September. For the remainder of the year this temple is closed due to the freezing cold winter. Our first stop was Rishikesh, where we rented a two wheeler for just 500rs per day. We then started our long drive to Chopta which is around 160km away. The entire journey by two wheeler was approximately 7-8 hours. The length of your trip will depend upon your vehicle of choice but also the road as well. This is due to the prevalence of landslides on the roads in this region. Unless you are accustomed to driving in mountainous regions we suggest that you take a share taxi or public transportation such as a bus. If you do decide to rent your own vehicle it is adv...

HAR KI PAURI-GANGA AARTI

Image
In our journey to explore Uttarakhand our first stay was famous holy Haridwar.  This place is a soft spot in the heart of all indians. Haridwar is famous for their ghats and this is the city where the river Ganges leaves the mountains and is diverted to the north. From several ghats, 'HAR KI PAURI' is the most famous ghat in Haridwar. The main reason for that is, Lord Vishnu is believed to have visited 'Brahmakund' in 'Har Ki Pauri' in the Vedic times. Our main reason to stay in Haridwar was to see 'GANGA AARTI'. Not only us, but thousands of devotees also visited 'Har Ki Pauri' for this ritual. The aarti took place at sunrise and before the sunset. We suggest that you to visit 'HAR KI PAURI' around evening so you can enjoy the holy view of aarti and the prayers in the air.
